During this class, we focus exclusively on free, accessible crypto-investigation tools so you can start sleuthing immediately—no subscription required. Through guided, hands-on exercises, you’ll practice following real asset flows in example cases, learning how to apply investigative techniques step-by-step. By the end, you’ll have the confidence to get your digital hands dirty and begin conducting your own basic on-chain investigations.
Boring Security provides essential training in blockchain personal security, helping you stay safe as you enter the crypto space. Their classes also cover the fundamentals of blockchain explorers - an indispensable tool for every sleuth.
You’ll learn how to use free on-chain analysis tools such as DeBank, block explorers, Phalcon, Arkham, and MetaSuites to trace basic laundering paths. We’ll also walk you through common laundering techniques used by bad actors - and how to identify and see through those typologies on-chain.
For beginners: We recommend you head into the Boring Security Discord and request access to the 101 and 102 classes
